DIGGING DEEPER — Before the Work Begins
Nehemiah 2:9–20
God’s timing is intentional. Nehemiah waited before acting. Ask God where patience and trust may be needed in your life right now (2:11).
Silence can be wise. Nehemiah listened and observed before speaking. Consider how pausing to pray and listen could shape your responses this week (2:12).
Honesty comes before healing. Nehemiah faced the broken walls personally. Ask God to help you see clearly what needs His rebuilding work in your heart (2:13–16).
Speak of God’s hand at work. Nehemiah pointed others to what God was already doing. Look for opportunities to acknowledge God’s faithfulness in daily conversations (2:17–18).
Trust God over public opinion. Opposition followed obedience. Pray for confidence to trust God even when others question your steps of faith (2:19–20).
